	Swanage is a beautiful, traditional English seaside town -situated amidst the stunning countryside of the Isle of Purbeck in south east Dorset. It marks the gateway to The Jurassic Coast which is the coastline between Old Harry Rocks, just north of Swanage, and Orcombe Point, Devon and is proudly designated a World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty. Swanage has a safe wide sweeping Bay, which facing East is sheltered from the prevailing winds. As well as the sand for sandcastles swanage has a rocky Bay and Rock Pools to explore at low tide, after a walk to the Beautiful and unspoilt Ballard Down end of the beach. We have a wonderful programme of Events all Season and regular saturday night fireworks. On the southern side of Swanage lies Durlston Country Park with nature trails and cliff walks. Visit the Park Centre and hear dolphins and other sea creatures on the hydrophone. For the ‘Twitchers’ amongst you, the birdlife to observe in this beautiful area will amaze. At the centre of the Isle of Purbeck lies the historic stone village of Corfe Castle dominated by the evocative and dramatic ruins of the 1000 year old castle. The castle has a programme of events such as out door cinema in the castle grounds. For the more active amongst you, there is the glorious heath of Studland to explore by horse back, Kite and Wind Surfing Courses in Sandbanks, local Rib Charter and a local high ropes course -. Whatever the weather visitors always enjoy a trip to Monkey World which is a World Renowned Ape Rescue Centre and kids of all ages will be happily occupied for hours at Bovington Tank Museum.
	Swanage Railway is a leading atraction for Swanage being a real live working steam train that you can ride on from Norden through to Swanage past Corfe Castle
